Microsoft Making Big Changes to Game Pass Quests and Rewards

Enhanced Xbox Game Pass Rewards Program Launches January 7th

Starting January 7th, Xbox Game Pass is revamping its rewards system, introducing Quests for PC users and enhancing the overall experience. However, these new features are exclusively for players aged 18 and older, prioritizing age-appropriate gaming.

Key improvements include daily, weekly, and monthly quest opportunities to earn points, alongside the return of popular weekly streaks. Players can earn rewards by playing any Game Pass title for a minimum of 15 minutes. This update expands reward accessibility to PC Game Pass subscribers, previously limited to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.

The revamped system, detailed on Xbox Wire, offers several new ways to earn points:

• Daily Play: Earn 10 points daily by playing any Game Pass game for at least 15 minutes.
• Weekly Streaks: Maintain a streak of playing at least five days a week for increasing point multipliers (2x for two weeks, 3x for three, and 4x for four or more).
• Monthly Packs: Explore the Game Pass catalog by playing four (Monthly 4-Pack) or eight (Monthly 8-Pack) different games (15 minutes each) per month. The 4-Pack games count towards the 8-Pack.
• PC Weekly Bonus: Earn 150 points by playing for at least 15 minutes on five or more days of the week.

Access to the Rewards Hub, used for tracking and redeeming points, is now restricted to players 18 and older. Those under 18 can only earn rewards through parental purchases of eligible items from the Microsoft Store. This change reflects Microsoft's commitment to age-appropriate content and experiences.

The updated system simplifies point earning with daily, weekly, and monthly opportunities, encouraging players to explore the diverse Game Pass library. Microsoft emphasizes its dedication to providing engaging and age-appropriate features for all its subscribers.
