Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater retains the suggestive and sexual content from the original Metal Gear Solid 3, including the Peep Demo Theatre, as confirmed by its Mature 17+ ESRB rating. The rating highlights the game's realistic gunfire, cries of pain, bloody combat, and the inclusion of "suggestive/sexual content."

The ESRB's detailed report on the game's content also mentions graphic scenes of violence and blood, such as a character being beaten and electrocuted while restrained, another being shot in the eye, and a character on fire being shot multiple times. Furthermore, the rating points out specific instances of suggestive/sexual content, including scenes where a man gropes a woman's breasts, close-up camera angles focusing on deep cleavage, a character groping a man's crotch, and the infamous Peep Demo Theatre. This feature, which was an unlockable extra in the Subsistance and HD Collection versions of the original game, allows players to view cutscenes of a female character in her underwear from a first-person perspective, unlocked after playing through the game four times.

Konami has officially announced that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be released on August 28, accompanied by a new teaser trailer. This trailer also confirmed the return of the beloved Snake vs. Monkey minigame.

IGN's preview of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater described the game as "more like a very shiny HD remaster than the elegant remake it could have been," noting its beautiful yet almost faultlessly faithful approach to nostalgia. This includes the introduction of a new first-person perspective. The original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater received a high score of 9.6 from IGN, reflecting its enduring quality and appeal.
