MCU Films Ranked: A Definitive Guide for Fans

Author:Kristen Update:Feb 24,2025

Captain America: Brave New World has arrived, prompting another look at the sprawling Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), now boasting a staggering 35 films. But which MCU film reigns supreme in your heart? Do you cherish the early origin stories like Iron Man, or are you captivated by the epic team-ups of the Infinity Saga? Share your preferences using the tier list tool below!

The sheer volume of films makes choosing difficult. Remember, this list only includes films from Kevin Feige's MCU, excluding Sony's Marvel entries (sorry, X-Men, except Wolverine). My personal tier list, reflecting my viewing enjoyment over the years, is shown here:

Sadly, Brave New World didn't meet my expectations, burdened by what I consider the MCU's most cumbersome script to date, relegating it to the D tier. My placement of 2024's Deadpool & Wolverine in the bottom tier may surprise some, but it simply didn't resonate with me. (You can find a detailed explanation elsewhere). However, I don't believe it's the MCU's absolute worst; that dubious honor currently belongs to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, a clear D-tier entry.

Conversely, my top tier showcases five exceptional films. Captain America: Civil War and Winter Soldier easily earn S-tier status, masterfully exploring the MCU's emotional core and paranoid espionage, respectively. Thor: Ragnarok stands out as one of the funniest comedies of the last decade, and Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame delivered a spectacular conclusion to the franchise's most pivotal chapter.

Disagree? Believe No Way Home is the best of the Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy? Think Black Panther deserves S-tier? Create your own MCU movie tier list below, comparing your rankings (S, A, B, C, and D tiers) with the IGN community.
