Learning the Master Strike in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To master the Master Strike, Henry first needs to unlock this skill. After you've navigated through the tutorial and gained the liberty to roam the expansive world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, head over to Troskowitz and have a chat with Bara the beggar. She'll introduce you to an NPC called Tomcat, which triggers the Combat Training side quest.

You can find Tomcat in the Nomads’ Camp, conveniently located near the Cumans’ Camp and Bozhena’s Hut. Start by talking to him to initiate the Combat Training I quest, which is relatively straightforward. After completing it, make sure to save your game, then speak to Tomcat again to begin Combat Training II. This challenge is significantly tougher.

To unlock the Master Strike, you must successfully complete Combat Training II and triumph over Tomcat in a swordfight. It's possible to attempt this quest early in the game, but it's wise to boost your Strength stat first to improve your chances. Remember, failing this quest can leave Henry in dire straits, so always save before you try.

Once you've bested Tomcat in Combat Training II, you'll be rewarded with the knowledge of the Master Strike, ready to be deployed in combat.

How to Use Master Strike

The Master Strike is exclusive to swords and cannot be used with other weapon types. In combat, pay close attention to your opponent’s weapon position. If they're attacking from the left, position your sword to the right, and vice versa.

The key moment comes when your opponent initiates an attack. A green shield icon will flash in the center of your screen. As soon as you see this icon, press the attack button. Henry will execute the Master Strike, parrying the incoming attack and launching an immediate, unblockable counterstrike. Timing is crucial; ensure your sword is correctly positioned opposite to your opponent’s before you strike.

Mastering the Master Strike can drastically simplify many combat encounters in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, making it an essential skill for any player.
