Marvel Rivals released trailers for the Human Torch, the Thing and the new map

It's an exciting time for fans of hero shooters, with major updates across the board. While Overwatch 2 rolls out Season 15 and Team Fortress 2 sees its code integrated into the Source SDK, the spotlight shines brightest on the newcomer, Marvel Rivals. As we approach the second half of Season 1, the developers have just unveiled gameplay footage featuring two new additions from the Fantastic Four: the Human Torch and the Thing, set to join the fray this Friday, February 21.

Johnny Storm, known as the Human Torch, steps into the arena as a member of the Duelist class. His abilities are as fiery as his personality; he can soar through the skies, unleash streams of fire, encase foes in a blazing barrier, and summon devastating fire tornadoes that leave nothing but scorched earth in their wake.

On the other hand, Benjamin J. Grimm, aka the Thing, anchors the Defender class. His brute strength allows him to hurl teammates short distances for strategic positioning and to send adversaries skyward with a thunderous ground slam, disrupting their plans and turning the tide of battle.

In addition to these powerful new characters, the Marvel Rivals team has teased the introduction of a fresh battleground: Central Park. This new map promises to bring the iconic New York City landmark to life, offering players new environments to master and new strategies to explore.
