A Marvel Rivals glitch severely disadvantages players with less powerful computers, a Reddit user has revealed. Lower FPS (frames per second) directly impacts several heroes, causing slower movement and reduced damage output. This effectively creates a pay-to-win scenario, where upgrading PC hardware, rather than in-game purchases, becomes necessary for competitive play.
This is clearly a significant bug, not an intended game mechanic. However, a swift fix is unlikely due to the complex nature of the problem. The root cause involves the Delta Time parameter, a crucial element in maintaining consistent gameplay across different frame rates. Resolving this will require considerable developer time and effort.
The following heroes are currently affected, exhibiting slower movement, reduced jump height, and weaker attacks:
Additional heroes may also be impacted. Until a patch is released, players are advised to optimize their FPS settings, even if it means compromising graphical fidelity.
