Un problème de Marvel Rivals désavantage gravement les joueurs disposant d'ordinateurs moins puissants, a révélé un utilisateur de Reddit. Des FPS (images par seconde) inférieurs ont un impact direct sur plusieurs héros, provoquant un mouvement plus lent et une réduction des dégâts infligés. Cela crée effectivement un scénario de paiement pour gagner, dans lequel la mise à niveau du matériel PC, plutôt que les achats en jeu, devient nécessaire pour un jeu compétitif.

Il s'agit clairement d'un bug important, et non d'un mécanisme de jeu prévu. Cependant, une solution rapide est peu probable en raison de la nature complexe du problème. La cause première implique le paramètre Delta Time, un élément crucial pour maintenir un gameplay cohérent sur différentes fréquences d'images. Résoudre ce problème nécessitera beaucoup de temps et d'efforts de la part des développeurs.

Les héros suivants sont actuellement affectés, présentant des mouvements plus lents, une hauteur de saut réduite et des attaques plus faibles :
