No Man's Sky patch 5.50: everything you need to know

No Man's Sky, the expansive space exploration game, continues its impressive run of updates with the release of version 5.50, "Worlds Part II." This massive update introduces a staggering array of new features and improvements, as highlighted in the accompanying trailer showcasing enhanced lighting, breathtaking new biomes and landscapes, and a captivating array of deep-sea creatures.

The core world generation has undergone a significant overhaul. Players will now discover dramatically altered terrain, including towering mountains, hidden valleys, and expansive plains. The game's already impressive roster of uncharted locations has been further expanded with the addition of a new stellar classification: vast gas giants boasting dynamic and ever-changing atmospheric conditions. Prepare to face perilous new environmental hazards, including toxic clouds, volcanic eruptions, thermal geysers, and radioactive fallout.

Exploration extends to the depths of the ocean. Players can now descend miles beneath the surface, into an abyss where sunlight fails to penetrate, leaving only bioluminescent coral to illuminate the path. This otherworldly environment teems with unique and mysterious life forms, promising truly alien encounters.

Beyond the new content, quality-of-life improvements have been implemented. Players can now automatically sort their inventory items based on various parameters, including name, type, value, and color. Existing features, such as fishing and marine life interactions, have also received enhancements. Finally, numerous bugs have been squashed.
