Final Fantasy Magic Decks Hit Record Low Price

Author:Kristen Update:Nov 13,2025

Magic: The Gathering has just wrapped up another successful year. While fans can look forward to upcoming Marvel, Star Trek, and Middle-earth collaborations, we're now two sets past the Final Fantasy crossover release.

As a result, while booster boxes may be scarce, Commander Decks are experiencing price reductions. These have seen discounts recently, and now the Scions and Spellcraft deck from Final Fantasy XIV is available at a 43% discount, bringing the price down to just $39.99.

The Scions and Spellcraft Deck Is Excellent

In our ranking of the four Commander decks from the Final Fantasy set, Scions and Spellcraft placed third—but that doesn't mean it's a poor deck.

This Esper deck (White, Black, Blue) stands out by focusing on combining spells to deal damage across the table. With early mana development, it can become overwhelming, whether you're strengthening tokens or converting damage into card draw to maintain answers against any threat.

While it doesn't feature as many high-value reprints, Final Fantasy XIV enthusiasts who want to play Magic: The Gathering will find it perfectly satisfying.

Meanwhile, Counter Blitz (the Final Fantasy X deck that ranked first in our evaluation) is priced $10 higher but still discounted by nearly 30%.

It may not be the most beginner-friendly option, but once you start managing various counters with Tidus, you'll discover how to prolong your Summons well beyond their usual duration.

If you resisted buying when the decks initially sold out and prices surged, you can now feel quite pleased with your patience.
