8 ImagesThe Lycan is crafted from a story conceived by Thomas Jane and screenwriter David James Kelly (known for Logan), with the script penned by Mike Carey (renowned for Lucifer and The Unwritten). The artwork comes to life through the talents of artist Diego Yapur, with colors by D.C. Alonso and lettering by AndWorld Design. Tim Bradstreet, celebrated for his work on Punisher MAX and Hellblazer, will grace the series with his cover art.

Here's the official synopsis from Comixology for The Lycan #1:

Year of Our Lord 1777: A hardened band of international big game hunters returning from Africa are shipwrecked off a small British island.

In exchange for new supplies and the repairing of their good ship The Calydonian, Lord Ludgate engages the men for a task they are particularly well suited for: find the Berserking Beasts that have been eating his subjects, including a group of young Benedictine Nuns, and destroy them.

*The Lycan #1* is set to launch digitally on Tuesday, February 18, exclusively on the Comixology Originals platform. Following the series' conclusion, Ablaze Comics will offer a print collection for fans to enjoy.
