Lara Croft Steps into Uncharted Territory with Game Crossover

Lara Croft, the iconic Tomb Raider, is raiding her way into Naraka: Bladepoint! This exciting news was revealed during a recent livestream showcasing the upcoming third-anniversary celebrations for the martial arts-inspired battle royale, slated for August. The anniversary event trailer highlighted several new features, including the brand-new map Perdoria and a collaboration with the legendary Tomb Raider franchise.

Since her 1996 debut, Lara Croft has become a video game icon, starring in numerous games, comics, and even an upcoming Netflix animated series. Her dual-wielding prowess and adventurous spirit have made her one of gaming's most recognizable female protagonists, leading to crossovers in titles like Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Fortnite, and Final Fantasy XV.

In Naraka: Bladepoint, Lara's likeness will grace the assassin Matari, the Silver Crow – a highly agile character known for her mobility. While a preview of the skin remains elusive, past collaborations suggest a multi-part cosmetic set, encompassing outfit, hairstyle, and accessories.

2024: A Monumental Year for Naraka: Bladepoint

The third anniversary promises a massive update for Naraka: Bladepoint. In addition to the Tomb Raider crossover, players will get Perdoria, the first new map in almost two years, launching July 2nd. Like Holoroth, Perdoria boasts unique secrets, challenges, and gameplay mechanics. A further collaboration with CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is also planned for later this year.

While the Tomb Raider crossover is sure to thrill fans, there's also some bittersweet news: Naraka: Bladepoint will cease supporting the Xbox One by the end of August. However, all player progress and cosmetics remain linked to Xbox accounts, ensuring a smooth transition to Xbox Series X/S or PC via the Xbox platform for affected players.
