Set on a bizarre, acid-rain-soaked space station orbiting Jupiter, Universe for Sale introduces a unique world. Orangutans with surprising wit work the docks alongside cultists bartering flesh for enlightenment. The universe itself is for sale, thanks to Lila, a woman with the unusual ability to create universes from her very hand.

The game begins in the ramshackle mining colony where you play as the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment. Your exploration leads you to Honin’s Tea House, Lila's shop, where a captivating mystery unfolds as you switch between Lila's and the Master's perspectives.

Lila's gameplay involves a mesmerizing mini-game of universe creation, mixing and matching ingredients to form stunning visual worlds. The Master, meanwhile, delves into the philosophies of the Cult of Detachment and encounters the Church of Many Gods.

The narrative unfolds gradually, prompting players to theorize about the unfolding events. Every character, be it human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique story, enriching the richly detailed world.
