J.C. Lee, the daughter of the iconic Marvel creator Stan Lee, has broken her silence in a recent interview with Business Insider, refuting previous allegations of elder abuse against both her father and her late mother, Joan. These allegations first surfaced in 2017 following Joan's passing, with a detailed and critical account published in a 2018 article by The Hollywood Reporter (THR). The THR piece accused J.C. Lee of pressuring her parents for financial gain and control over their assets, and described her relationship with Stan Lee as volatile, marked by verbal confrontations and an alleged physical incident. The report included photographic evidence of a bruise on Joan Lee's arm, which J.C. Lee vehemently denies causing.

In her conversation with Business Insider, J.C. Lee firmly stated that the accusations were "a lie." She explained that she chose not to publicly refute the THR article at the time due to advice from those close to her, a decision she now regrets. "You think I haven't regretted it to this day?" she remarked, emphasizing the falseness of the claims and questioning the authenticity of the incriminating photo. While admitting to heated arguments with her parents over financial matters, J.C. Lee insisted that she never engaged in physical altercations with them, stating, "I never ever touched my parents."

Stan Lee passed away in 2018 at the age of 95 due to a heart attack. The comprehensive interview with Business Insider delves into J.C. Lee's life, exploring her experiences growing up under the shadow of her father's fame, her financial struggles, the manipulation she faced from others, feelings of loneliness, her creative endeavors, and the challenges of living with her father's enduring legacy.
