James Bond Origin Story Game Project 007 Officially Coming to Nintendo Switch 2

Attention all GoldenEye enthusiasts! The time has come to celebrate, as IO Interactive has officially announced that their highly anticipated James Bond game, Project 007, will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2.

According to IO Interactive’s website, Project 007 promises to delve into an entirely new narrative within the James Bond universe. Players will have the thrilling opportunity to step into the iconic shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent and embark on a journey to earn their 00 status in what will be the very first James Bond origin story.

In an exclusive interview with IGN back in October, IO Interactive's Head, Hakan Abrak, shared his excitement about crafting a fresh origin story for the beloved spy. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," he stated. He further emphasized the vision for the game, saying, "It's completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future. And equally important and exciting, it's a new Bond. It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."
