When considering Springfield's most iconic locations, the Simpsons' house naturally comes first, followed by Moe's Tavern and Kwik-E-Mart. While the first two already have LEGO sets, Krusty Burger surprisingly beat Moe's to get its own detailed recreation.

While Moe's Tavern boasts a more distinctive layout burned into fans' memories, Krusty Burger's intentionally generic corporate design presented LEGO designer Ann Healy with an interesting challenge. She meticulously studied episodes across the entire series to create the definitive version, drawing particularly from "Coming to Homerica" (Season 20) and "I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can" (Season 14).

The building experience begins with Homer's Krusty-decorated car from "Homie the Clown" (Season 6) - just the first of many deep-cut references hidden throughout the set. From the $6.15 price reference on one cash register (matching the episode number) to Maggie's famous $847.63 grocery scan from the opening sequence, every detail tells a story.

The restaurant's layout shines with authentic touches - a dining area complete with ball pit, fully-equipped kitchen (featuring the famously broken ice cream machine), employee bathroom, and functional drive-thru setup. The exterior realistically separates the ordering and pickup stations.

Marketed as 18+, this set exemplifies LEGO's shift toward adult collectors who value nostalgic themes paired with accessible builds. While earlier LEGO ages correlated with complexity, today's 18+ designation equally reflects thematic maturity - much like selecting appropriate reading material for teenage English learners.

As the first full Simpsons LEGO set in nearly a decade (following the retired 2014 house and 2015 Kwik-E-Mart), Krusty Burger might signal renewed interest in Springfield - perhaps leading to long-awaited sets like Moe's Tavern.
