Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor Brings Exciting New Content!

Get ready, Hearthstone fans, because the Year of the Raptor in 2025 is set to be an exciting journey filled with surprises, new gameplay elements, and innovative features. The game will see its traditional trio of expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons rolling out soon. The Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set has already received an enthusiastic response, and Blizzard is eager to keep the momentum going. They’ve even shared a roadmap, offering a glimpse into what's coming up in the game.

What Does the Year of the Raptor Bring to Hearthstone?

One of the most anticipated updates is the overhaul of the Arena mode. This update, which has been in development since last year, aims to breathe new life into one of Hearthstone's oldest features, inviting both new and returning players to experience it afresh.

Cosmetics are also set for a major upgrade. Players can look forward to new Mythic skins, Signature cards, and the introduction of Pets. These adorable additions will be integrated into a new system for obtaining cosmetics, though Blizzard is keeping some details under wraps for now.

The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the first expansion, Into the Emerald Dream. Card reveals are scheduled to start next week, and the in-game celebration has already begun. By completing the Event Track, players can earn rewards such as The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a special Raptor Herald card.

What Else Is Coming?

Alongside the expansion, a new evolving game board will be introduced. The Year of the Raptor board will remain in Hearthstone throughout the year, receiving visual and audio updates with each new expansion.

The Core Set is also getting refreshed. Classic cards are returning with some tweaks, and new cards are being added to the mix.
