Hearthstone Reveals Un'Goro in Latest Update

While Battlegrounds Season 10 brought fresh chaos to Hearthstone's tavern brawls, the game now returns to a beloved location. The Lost City of Un'Goro, Hearthstone's upcoming expansion, launches on July 8 with 145 new cards. This release blends innovative mechanics, returning features, and narrative intrigue set within the prehistoric Un'Goro Crater.

Veteran players may recall the name. Hearthstone first ventured into Un'Goro in 2017, but this new expansion takes a different approach. You'll accompany Loh, a Tortollan explorer, as he leads an expedition into the long-concealed city, unaware that his guide, Umbra, has hidden motives. Elise Starseeker joins the party, reuniting familiar faces who have plenty of surprises in store.

In terms of gameplay, the set introduces Kindred, a new keyword that emphasizes synergy. If you played a minion of the same type or a spell from the same school on your previous turn, Kindred cards receive a bonus. Quest cards also return, with each class receiving a new Legendary Quest that begins in your opening hand and grants a powerful reward upon completion.

New Story and Map cards enhance the expansion's theme. Story cards recount tales of past Un'Goro expeditions, while Map cards let you Discover a card—and if you play that selection immediately, you also receive one of the other two options. It's all about exploration, risk, and reward.

Beyond the standard Pre-Purchase and Mega Bundle options, Blizzard introduces a third Sequence Bundle, available after purchasing the first two. The Mega Bundle includes 80 standard card packs, 10 golden packs, signature and golden Legendary cards, four Tavern Tickets, and exclusive Umbra cosmetics.
