Hearthstone Is Dropping Battlegrounds Season 9 Soon with Major Changes!

Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Chaos Arrives December 3rd!

Get ready for a celestial shakeup! Hearthstone's Battlegrounds Season 9 launches December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes, updates, and exciting new features. Prepare for cosmic vibes, cutting-edge tech, and a completely overhauled minion lineup – it's a Tavern transformation!

Key Changes:

Bob's Technotavern is getting a major upgrade. Season 9 resets ratings and eliminates Trinkets, replacing them with Battlegrounds Tokens. These tokens let you reroll a hero option at the selection screen, offering a chance at a better hero if your initial choices are unsatisfactory.

Reveal Schedule:

Before the full launch, Hearthstone is unveiling new minions in stages:

  • November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
  • November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
  • November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
  • November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
  • November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
  • December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes release.

More New Features:

Season 9 introduces three new heroes, with Farseer Nobundo already generating buzz with his Galaxy's Lens ability. Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are either joining or leaving the pool.

A damage cap adjustment affects solo Battlegrounds: Early game damage is capped at 5, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. However, this cap is removed once you reach the top 4.

Minion Rollout:

  • December 3rd: Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs enter the game.
  • December 5th: Murlocs and Demons join the minion pool.
  • December 9th: Undead and Elementals are added.
