Hayden Christensen Confirmed to Reprise Anakin Skywalker Role in Ahsoka Season 2

The excitement among Star Wars fans reached new heights at Star Wars Celebration with the announcement that Hayden Christensen will reprise his iconic role as Anakin Skywalker in Season 2 of the Ahsoka series. While details about Anakin's specific role remain under wraps, the news promises more thrilling interactions between Ahsoka and her former master.

Christensen made a special appearance at the Ahsoka panel, expressing his enthusiasm for returning to the character. "It was a dream to get to do," he said. "The way they conceived how to do it was brilliant in getting to explore the World Between Worlds. I thought it was all really exciting."

Series creator Dave Filoni humorously noted the lengths he went to ensure Christensen's return, saying, "I had to find a way to work with Christensen/Anakin again and had to invent entire dimensions to make it happen."

Christensen also discussed the opportunity to delve deeper into Anakin's activities during the Clone Wars, which had previously been explored in animated form. "All of this had been presented well in the animated world, but I was really excited to do that in live action," he shared. "As much as I love the traditional Jedi robes I wore during the prequels, it was exciting to get to see Anakin with a new look."

During the panel, Filoni elaborated on how their shared history with George Lucas influenced their collaboration, allowing them to enhance their understanding and portrayal of Anakin. "I always have George's voice in the back of my head saying, 'faster, more intense!'" Christensen added, reflecting on Lucas's impact on their work.
