Guide to Completing Canker Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 17,2025

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the "Canker" side quest is an early mission that you can unlock after completing "The Jaunt." This quest is a great opportunity to acquire a mace or some extra Groschen, so let's dive into how to complete it.

Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To initiate the "Canker" side quest, you'll need to have a chat with Gules at Semine. This is easily done during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes; you can catch Gules beforehand while he's indulging in some drinks. Alternatively, you can find him on patrol at Semine and start the quest there. Just ask him about his former band of bandits and offer your assistance in eliminating them. Canker, one of those former bandits, will be your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Once you accept the quest, Canker's location will appear on your map, just north of Nebakov Mill. Be prepared for potential ambushes from bandits along the way. You can choose to sneak past them, engage in combat, or simply outrun them. While these random bandits are usually not too challenging, it's best not to take unnecessary damage before facing Canker.

Canker's bandit camp is nestled in the mountainous region, and it's easy to overlook because you must navigate through a narrow gap to reach it, much like accessing the Hermit's house during the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Arm yourself well before entering, as you'll encounter several bandits, including Canker himself. While some bandits may flee depending on the order you kill them, you must eliminate most of them. Fortunately, Canker will stand his ground, ensuring you can complete the quest by defeating him.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his crew, loot his body to prove you've fulfilled your part of the agreement. Make sure to take the Light Mace from him, but feel free to grab any other items you find valuable. Once you have the necessary loot, head back to Gules to complete the quest.

After successfully completing "Canker" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll need to wait a full in-game day before you can continue with the next quest involving Gules' former bandit associates. Once the day has passed, speak with Gules again to start "Handsome Charlie."
