The much-anticipated PC release of Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced, Rockstar's next-generation version of the iconic open-world game, is now available. This enhanced edition brings with it significant graphical improvements and new features, including full DualSense controller support, delivering a richer experience for PC gamers.

Among the key enhancements are ray-traced reflections, updated vehicle designs, and numerous smaller tweaks that significantly boost the game's visual quality. The popular YouTube channel, GameV, recently released a side-by-side comparison video, showcasing the evolution of the graphics over the past 12 years since the original release. The video highlights that the differences are most striking during rainy nights or in shadowy environments, where the game's advanced global illumination and ray-traced reflections stand out. However, under sunny conditions, the differences between the base game and its enhanced version are less noticeable.

Despite an impressive launch that saw over 187,000 concurrent players on Steam—surpassing the recent peak of 184,000 for the standard edition—the reception has been mixed. Currently, the game holds a 56% positive review rating on Steam. Many players are questioning the necessity of the update due to the relatively subtle visual enhancements. Furthermore, there have been reports of issues with DualSense controller functionality and glitches related to transferring characters from the original GTA Online. While some users have managed to transfer their characters successfully, others are still encountering persistent bugs.
