"Goat Games Launches Punch Out: CCG Duel, a New Deckbuilding Card Battler"

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 24,2025

When it comes to games that share—or have dangerously close—names, one of the most confusing scenarios is when a title on an entirely different platform shares the name of a famous franchise. Unrelated to that, Punch Out: CCG Duel is a new deckbuilding card battler from Goat Games, now available for pre-registration on iOS and Android.

Goat Games, the team behind releases such as Dungeon Hunter 6 and King's Throne, brings you a fantasy card battler that features over 300 cards and multiple different permutations. Whether you're choosing from the extensive roster of cards, selecting from over seven different fantasy races, or using multi-racial heroes that can enhance subordinate cards, there's plenty to explore.

A key selling point of Punch Out: CCG Duel is its equipment system, allowing you to customize your heroes as you would in a classic RPG. Each level presents a different and diverse lineup to challenge you with new strategies. You can compete against other players in battles or team up to raid dungeons.

Despite the potentially confusing name, Punch Out: CCG Duel looks quite promising. With its minimalist art style, a vast roster of cards, and a variety of different creatures and species to pit against one another or ally with, it offers everything you could ask for in a game of this genre.

However, Goat Games might be getting a bit ahead of themselves by announcing plans for big-money tournaments. It remains to be seen how well Punch Out: CCG Duel will appeal to audiences before such events can be justified.
