G.I. Joe Goes Heavy Metal in Hasbro's Incredible Cold Slither Box Set

IGN gets an exclusive first look at Hasbro's latest G.I. Joe Classified Series addition: the Cold Slither band! This incredible box set features Zartan and his Dreadnoks, fully decked out in heavy metal attire.

The G.I. Joe Classified: Dreadnoks Cold Slither – Band of Vipers action figure set is inspired by a classic G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero episode. It's a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive this summer. See the detailed images below:

The set includes 6-inch figures of Zartan, Ripper, Buzzer, and Torch, ready for the Band of Vipers World Tour. It boasts 29 accessories, including instruments like a guitar, bass, keytar, and drum kit. The packaging even replicates the Springfield Theater!

This limited-edition box set will be available exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con (July 24-27, 2025). Limited quantities will be released on the Hasbro Pulse website afterward.

For fans of vintage G.I. Joe, Hasbro and Super7 are collaborating on a Cold Slither Zartan ReAction+ figure. This 3.75-inch figure, with O-ring construction and retro packaging, glows in the dark under UV light and includes a microphone and guitar.

The Cold Slither Zartan ReAction+ figure ($20) is available for preorder on the Super7 website starting April 3rd at 9:15 am PT.

Hasbro's commitment to the musical theme extends to an actual Cold Slither album, in partnership with Reigning Phoenix Music. The album features ten tracks, described as: "In 2025, Cold Slither, the iconic heavy metal rock band from G.I. Joe lore, are releasing their highly anticipated debut album. Headlined by the phenomenal self-titled anthem “Cold Slither,” the album delivers 10 electrifying tracks that blend searing distorted guitar riffs, pounding rhythms, and irresistibly catchy, anthemic choruses."
