More gameplay and release date of DOOM: The Dark Ages is finally revealed

Bethesda and id Software showcased a new DOOM: The Dark Ages demo at the Xbox showcase, confirming earlier leaks of a May 15th release date.

This medieval-themed installment offers a drastically different gameplay experience compared to DOOM: Eternal. Forget the constant jumping and parkour; The Dark Ages emphasizes a more grounded, brutal approach. Players will embody a powerful, tank-like "killing machine," utilizing a diverse arsenal to obliterate demons.

Central to this demon-slaying arsenal are a shield and mace. A unique addition is the ability to pilot a massive mech for combat against smaller demons. Furthermore, players will even get to ride a dragon during the campaign!

The game boasts a customizable difficulty system, allowing players to fine-tune the challenge by adjusting enemy damage and other parameters.
