Frike Is a Simple Casual Arcade Game with a Geometric Twist, Out Now on Android

Some videogames pump adrenaline; others soothe the soul. Both have their merits. Frike, the debut Android game from indie developer chakahacka, uniquely blends both experiences.

The objective in Frike is simple: survival. You control a floating triangle, equally divided into purple, orange, and green segments. Two left-side buttons control ascent and descent, while a right-side button rotates your triangular avatar.

Frike boasts a single, deceptively expansive level—it's infinite. You'll never reach the end.

Scattered throughout Frike's atmospheric, abstract world are colored blocks: white, purple, orange, and green. Scoring involves rotating your triangle to align its corners with matching colored squares.

Colliding with too many mismatched or white squares results in a fiery demise. However, certain squares offer bonus effects, slowing your descent to aid precise maneuvering.

Frike epitomizes minimalist arcade casual gaming. While high-score chasing can be intense, it equally lends itself to relaxed play, allowing you to simply drift through the obstacles and appreciate the visuals.

Beyond its understated graphics, Frike features a meditative soundtrack of resonant chimes and metallic tones.

If this sounds appealing, download Frike for free now on the Google Play Store.
