Fortnite Update Brings Back Fan-Favorite Items to OG Battle Royale

Fortnite continues to thrill its community with its latest update, reintroducing fan-favorite gear such as the Hunting Rifle and Launch Pad. December is shaping up to be a bustling month for Epic Games, with Fortnite not only rolling out new skins but also celebrating its annual Winterfest event. This event blankets the island in snow and introduces event quests along with unique items like the Icy Feet and Blizzard Grenade. Players can look forward to earning rewards from the Cozy Cabin and snagging premium skins featuring icons like Mariah Carey, Santa Dogg, and Santa Shaq. Beyond the festive cheer, Fortnite is expanding its universe with collaborations, including those with Cyberpunk 2077 and Batman Ninja, while also updating its OG mode.

The recent hotfix for Fortnite's OG mode is a treat for longtime fans, bringing back the Launch Pad, a legacy item from Chapter 1, Season 1. This classic traversal tool allows players to soar through the air, gaining strategic advantages or making quick escapes. Alongside the Launch Pad, the update reintroduces the Hunting Rifle from Chapter 3, offering players a long-range option amidst the absence of sniper rifles in Chapter 6, Season 1. The Cluster Clinger from Chapter 5 also makes a comeback, available in both Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.

Fortnite OG has proven to be a massive hit, drawing in 1.1 million players within the first two hours of its launch. Alongside the mode, Epic Games has launched an OG Item Shop, reintroducing classic skins and items for purchase. However, not all players are thrilled about the return of ultra-rare skins like the Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper, sparking some debate within the community.
