Floats to Phones: Floatopia Launches on Android

NetEase Games unveiled its charming life simulation game, Floatopia, at Gamescom, promising a multi-platform release, including Android, sometime in 2025. This whimsical title features a sky-bound world of floating islands and eccentric characters. The trailer depicts a picturesque setting where players can farm, fish, and customize their airborne island home.

A Unique Apocalypse

The game's premise begins with a world-ending event, but fear not! This apocalypse is more akin to "My Time at Portia" than "Fallout." The world consists of fragmented landmasses suspended in the sky, inhabited by humans with unique, albeit sometimes underwhelming, superpowers.

Players become Island Managers, engaging in activities reminiscent of "Animal Crossing" and "Stardew Valley." Cultivate crops, fish amongst the clouds, and meticulously decorate your island. The ability to fly allows exploration of diverse locations and interactions with new characters.

Socialization is key, with opportunities for shared adventures, island parties, and showcasing your personalized paradise. However, multiplayer is optional, allowing for a solitary experience if preferred. The game boasts a diverse cast of characters, each with their own intriguing personalities and unique abilities.

While a precise release date for 2025 remains unconfirmed, pre-registration is available on the official website.
