Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Reveals Full PC Requirements

Summary

Square Enix has updated the PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, requiring high-end graphics cards with 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K gameplay. The PC version will leverage DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6, and DirectX 12 Ultimate.

Just two weeks before its PC launch, Square Enix released detailed system requirements for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, outlining minimum, recommended, and ultra settings. Crucially, they recommend a high-end graphics card boasting 12-16GB of VRAM for 4K resolution. This follows the November PS5 Pro enhancement patch, optimizing the game for Sony's upgraded console. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, however, Rebirth will not receive any DLC; Square Enix is focusing on Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.

While initial PC spec requirements were revealed at The Game Awards, Square Enix has since clarified that 12-16GB VRAM is recommended for 4K displays. The game still demands a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, 155GB of SSD storage, and 16GB of RAM. Recommended CPU options include the Ryzen 5 5600 or equivalent, while the GPU requirements call for at least an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 (or AMD equivalent) due to the game's utilization of DLSS.
