  • A student plummets from a window, and you're the prime suspect
  • Your decisions shape the lives of those around you
  • Every playthrough delivers a unique experience

At Miss Mulligatawney's School for Promising Girls, a crisis unfolds. A prefect has fallen from a window, and all fingers point to you. In Expelled!, the newest mystery from inkle, creators of Overboard!, you have just one day to prove your innocence or shift the blame to another.

In April 1922, you play as Verity Amersham, a scholarship student at a prestigious boarding school. Voiced by Amelia Tyler (Baldur’s Gate 3), Verity has worked hard to avoid trouble. But when she’s accused of attempted murder, staying out of the spotlight is no longer possible.

This isn’t about picking simple dialogue options. Every move you make—where you go, who you speak to, and what you say—shapes the story’s direction. NPCs roam the school in real-time, responding to your actions and words. Some may aid you, while others seek to sabotage you. Who can you rely on?

You can unravel the mystery or resort to deception, manipulation, or betrayal to save yourself. Need an alibi? Persuade someone to back you up. Feeling cornered? Frame another. The more you bend the rules, the more paths emerge.

Each playthrough lasts 30-45 minutes, with no two sessions alike. Your choices unlock new clues, varied outcomes, and hidden truths scattered across the school. Discover why the cellar is sealed or what your closest friend is concealing. Avoid expulsion, and you might even rise to Head Girl.

Accompanied by a jazz soundtrack featuring icons like George Gershwin, Louis Armstrong, and Bessie Smith, Expelled! weaves a gripping mystery with a dynamic, ever-evolving narrative. How you prove your innocence—or how far you’ll go to escape blame—is your choice.

Expelled! launches March 12th on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and iOS.
