"The Exit 8: 3D Liminal Spaces Walking Simulator Now on Android!"

The Exit 8 has now made its way to Android devices, blending elements of horror and mystery in a unique walking simulator. Developed by Kotake Create and published by Playism, this eerie experience is available for $3.99. It's not just a simple stroll; every step you take is filled with suspense and doubt.

A Creepy Walking Adventure

In The Exit 8, players navigate through an endless underground passageway that mimics a Japanese metro station. You're trapped in a loop where everything from the tiles, lights, and posters to the solitary man walking towards you repeats incessantly. The challenge lies in detecting anomalies—be it a poster with a different graphic, flickering lights, or even a surreal sight like a river of blood where the floor should be. The core mechanic of the game revolves around spotting these subtle changes and reacting swiftly.

When you notice something odd, you must turn back. If you don't see anything unusual, keep moving forward. The objective is to reach the eighth exit without making a single mistake, which means correctly identifying and responding to eight anomalies consecutively. Fail to do so, and you'll have to start all over again.

The Exit 8 Lets You Soak in a Surreal, Unsettling Atmosphere

The game's design draws inspiration from liminal spaces and the concept of the Backrooms, with settings modeled after actual Japanese metro stations, such as Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station in Tokyo. This inspiration creates an environment filled with claustrophobic corridors and repetitive architecture, intensifying the unsettling atmosphere.

Players are encouraged to immerse themselves in their surroundings, scrutinizing every detail for signs of danger or reality distortion. This constant need to question your memory and perception ensures that each playthrough feels fresh and unpredictable.

Originally released on PC in November 2023, The Exit 8 took about nine months to develop. Following its launch, it garnered 1.4 million downloads worldwide on Steam. Now available on mobile, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
