A new evil ending has been revealed in Baldur's Gate

Baldur's Gate 3 is brimming with secrets, and Larian Studios' masterpiece continues to reveal its hidden depths. Dataminers have unearthed numerous secrets, including a particularly intriguing ending.

This previously discovered evil ending has resurfaced during testing of the eighth major patch. It involves the player character physically removing and destroying the illithid parasite, surviving the ordeal unharmed. A subsequent branching path allows the player to either depart with their companions or leave them behind.

Many believe this ending will be fully implemented with the release of patch eight.

Recent layoffs at BioWare, the studio behind Dragon Age: The Veilguard, have fueled discussions about the current state of the gaming industry. In response, Michael Daus, Larian Studios' publishing director, took to social media to emphasize the importance of valuing employees. He argued that instead of widespread layoffs between or after projects, retaining institutional knowledge by preserving the development team is crucial for future success. He stressed that decision-makers should bear the brunt of financial burdens, not the employees themselves.
