The original Japanese release of ETE Chronicle faced criticism for its unexpected turn-based gameplay, a stark contrast to the anticipated mecha action. In response, the developers completely overhauled the game for its Chinese release, creating the action-packed ETE Chronicle:Re. This updated version replaces the original JP version, with player purchases from the original game being transferred.

A World in Chaos:

ETE Chronicle:Re plunges players into a dystopian future where humanity struggles for survival. The Yggdrasil Corporation, wielding advanced Galar exosuits and the Tenkyu orbital base, has ravaged the Earth.
