Matchmaking Challenges

Elden Ring: Nightreign launched on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, but faced matchmaking hurdles during its debut weekend. FromSoftware swiftly responded, addressing PlayStation 4 and 5 issues in a May 31 post on Twitter (X).

The team highlighted that players using NAT Type 3 on PlayStation may experience matchmaking disruptions on PSN. Their fix: "Navigate to Home > Settings > Network > Connection Status > Check Connection Status to verify your NAT type."

In a prior tweet, FromSoftware advised restarting the matchmaking process for those facing issues. No specific solutions were provided for other platforms, and a permanent fix via patch is yet to be announced.

Patch 1.02 Boosts Solo Adventures

Post-launch, FromrosSoftware revealed on Twitter (X) on May 30 that a new patch targeting solo expedition enhancements is slated for next week. Further details will follow closer to the release.

The update introduces "Automatic Revival Upon Defeat" for solo players and boosts rune rewards. As solo play is notably challenging, these changes aim to make it more enjoyable.
