Dune Awakening Trailer Showcases the Wonders of Arrakis

Funcom has just released an enthralling new trailer for Dune: Awakening, their much-anticipated multiplayer survival game set within the iconic universe of Frank Herbert's "Dune." This latest trailer dives deep into the vast, treacherous deserts of Arrakis, showcasing the myriad challenges and exciting possibilities that players will encounter.

In Dune: Awakening, exploration is not just an aspect of the game—it's essential for survival. Players will navigate through the perilous dunes to collect crucial materials needed for crafting everything from shelters to combat-ready ornithopters. To aid in resource hunting, players can use a scanner, and by deploying probes on higher ground, they can uncover key points of interest scattered across the map.

These points of interest can include crashed spacecraft and abandoned outposts, each offering unique resources and opportunities. Reaching these locations often demands creativity and the right tools, such as grappling hooks, power belts, and specialized gear. All equipment can be enhanced at your base with modular components, ensuring players are always well-equipped to face the dangers of Arrakis.

The early access release of Dune: Awakening is scheduled for May 20, and it will be available exclusively on PC. Console enthusiasts will have to wait a bit longer, as versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are planned for a future release. In the lead-up to the launch, players can get a head start by creating their characters and testing system performance with the benchmark tool available on Steam.

Mark your calendars—Dune: Awakening enters early access on Steam on May 20. The game's Steam page already offers a character editor and performance-testing tools, setting the stage for an immersive experience. The full release will extend the adventure to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, promising even more thrilling adventures on Arrakis.
