Dragon Quest X is coming to mobile, but so far only in Japan

Author:Kristen Update:Feb 24,2025

Dragon Quest X Offline is finally hitting mobile devices in Japan! This single-player version of the popular MMORPG will be available tomorrow on iOS and Android for a discounted price. Japanese fans can rejoice at the offline functionality.

The news, as reported by Gematsu, confirms the long-awaited mobile port. Interestingly, a mobile version was initially planned way back in 2013 by Ubitu, but this is the first time it's actually materializing.

Dragon Quest X, unlike other entries in the series, boasts real-time combat and other MMORPG elements. The offline version, released in 2022 for consoles and PC, offers a more accessible experience for those unfamiliar with the original 2012 release.

ytA Mobile-Only Japanese Affair

Unfortunately, a global release for Dragon Quest X Offline on mobile remains unconfirmed. Given the original game's Japan-only launch, hopes for an immediate international rollout are currently low. This is disappointing for many international fans, including this writer who fondly remembers countless hours spent with Dragon Quest: Sentinels of the Starry Skies.
