What Can You Do After You Finish Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Answered

After completing the main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you'll find that the game's vast open world remains open for exploration. The rich landscape of Feudal Japan is filled with side content that you can dive into at your leisure. Completing the main quest does not restrict access to this additional content, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the world post-credits.

Additionally, new weekly challenges will be introduced through the Animus post-launch, providing fresh activities even after achieving 100% completion.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained

The journey doesn't end with the credits rolling. In my playthrough, the credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board, along with Yasuke and Naoe’s main quests. However, to unlock the epilogue and the true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. After that, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko to unlock the complete ending of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and earn the associated achievements.

Towards the end of the game, you'll also unlock exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke. These armor sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist’s playstyle, and their designs are a nod to long-time fans of the Assassin’s Creed series.

Even after the credits, you can continue to progress and reach the game’s maximum level cap.

What’s Next For Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, the adventure continues with new content added through the Animus. Expect regular updates to the in-game store with new items. Additionally, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release in 2025, offering over 10 hours of new content on the Island of Awaji.
