A potential leak from GameStop suggests an upcoming Digimon game, Digimon Story: Time Stranger, ahead of tonight's PlayStation State of Play.

Gematsu uncovered and publicized pre-order listings for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on GameStop's website. While these listings lack images or gameplay details, the timing—hours before Sony's 40-minute State of Play—strongly hints at an official announcement.

The Digimon Story series, originating with the Nintendo DS title in the mid-2000s, boasts a rich history across various platforms. Recent installments include Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth (2015), Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (2017), and their 2019 Complete Edition. These RPGs typically involve befriending and battling Digimon.

Following producer Kazumashu Habu's 2022 tease of a new Story game, fans have eagerly awaited a sequel. While titles like Digimon Survive offered a temporary fix, Digimon Story: Time Stranger promises a true continuation of the series, pending official confirmation during, or shortly after, the State of Play event.
