Get Your Pet First things first: as soon as you load up Diablo 4 Season 7, head to the nearest town with a Wardrobe and interact with it to claim your pet. While pets don't participate in combat, they're incredibly useful for automatically collecting gold and materials. This saves you a significant amount of time, allowing you to focus solely on combat and looting.

Grab Your Mercenaries If you own the Vessel of Hatred expansion, visit the Den to recruit a Mercenary. Solo players can have up to two Mercenaries, making leveling and combat much easier. Additionally, building Rapport with them can unlock further rewards.

Follow the Seasonal Questline and Level Up Begin on Normal difficulty and follow the new seasonal questline in Diablo 4 Season 7, marked by green leaf icons on your map. This questline introduces you to new mechanics, including Headhunt zones, Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers, and the new Witch powers. The questline is relatively short, featuring a few puzzles and requiring you to farm Favors in Headhunt zones. This is also the most effective way to reach level 60. Focus on defeating Headhunt zone bosses, collecting Favors, and enhancing your Witch powers simultaneously.

Unlock Your Class Power A handy quality-of-life feature in Diablo 4 Season 7 is that you don't need to redo class-specific priority quests if you've completed them on a previous character. Just log into the Eternal realm with that character first. For example, if you're planning to play a Rogue in Season 7, log in with a previous Rogue character that has completed the priority quests. Then, log in with your new Season 7 Rogue, and your class power will unlock automatically once you reach the required level.

Headhunt Zones While navigating Headhunt zones, make sure to complete the Whispers. There are always four active Headhunt zones, and you should aim for the smaller, more compact ones for higher enemy density and faster mob farming. Prioritize these two Whisper quests:

  • Fugitive: Requires recovering a head or destroying a husk, activated by defeating Elites and interacting with roots.
  • Shepherd: An easy task of escorting animals around the map.

Once you accumulate 10 Grim Favors, trade them with the Tree of Whispers for a cache. Note that a Raven of the Tree also appears in each Headhunt zone, allowing you to turn in Favors without returning to the Tree of Whispers.

Witchcraft Powers At the Tree of Whispers, interact with the Altars of Witchcraft to purchase and upgrade your Witchcraft powers using Restless Rot, obtained by defeating new Rot enemies. While the powers are inexpensive to buy, upgrading them is costly. Prioritize powers that offer direct damage upgrades for passive damage benefits. Some exclusive Witch powers can only be obtained from Forgotten Altars, which you can find in regular dungeons, Nightmare Dungeons, Pits, and Rootholds once you reach Torment 1 difficulty. Consuming a Draught of Whispers can increase your chances of encountering a Forgotten Altar.

Rootholds Rootholds, a new dungeon type in Diablo 4 Season 7, are accessible by consuming a Whispering Wood, obtained through Whispers and Silent Chests. Rootholds function like a rogue-lite mode, where you can activate negative modifiers to enhance loot quality. As you progress, open Exposed Roots for loot, with the modifiers affecting the quantity and quality of these roots. Save your Roothold keys for Torment 1, as they're the best source of Ancestral loot this season.

Occult Gems Craft new Occult Gems by speaking with Gelena at the Tree of Whispers. These gems, slotted into your jewelry, perform better than regular gems. Although you won't need them until late-game, remember they're expensive to craft and require a lot of Restless Rot and Heads, which drop from Roothold bosses and Fugitives in Headhunt zones. The Draught of Whispers also boosts your chances of getting Heads from bosses.

Pits, Infernal Hordes, and Nightmare Dungeons Don't forget to incorporate Pits and Nightmare Dungeons into your routine. Nightmare Dungeons are crucial for obtaining Glyphs, while Pits help level them up. Additionally, farm Infernal Hordes for masterworking materials to enhance your Uniques.
