Via his official Bluesky account, creator Toby Fox confirmed console testing is proceeding well. While significant work remains, progress appears steady.

"Still console testing. Bug reports are decreasing, but we're far from finished. (PS5 testing still pending)" Fox shared, noting the team is implementing save file transfers from the demo (Chapters 1-2) to the full release. "This feature required new technology - fingers crossed it functions properly!"

With stable beta results, the anticipated 2025 release window remains firm. Fox previously confirmed Chapters 3 and 4 will launch simultaneously next year.

Mystery Character Tenna Revealed

Despite development demands, Fox continues engaging fans through humorous updates. The developer's characteristic self-deprecating humor shone through in a recent post:

"After showing a DR minigame to friends/family, their unanimous verdict was 'this screams desperation over delayed releases.'" Fox recounted, clarifying family members meant this positively while friends found it endlessly amusing.

Some interpreted this as potential Chapter 5 content, since Fox confirmed Chapters 3-4 were content-complete in 2024. The full Deltarune experience will eventually span seven total chapters.

The post continued: "The same playtester who saw Chapter 3 last year recently said 'I miss Tenna' - probably the first time anyone's ever expressed that sentiment." Tenna, first appearing in the 2022 Spamton Sweepstakes charity event, now appears confirmed for Chapter 3's roster.
