Yetuga is your first boss encounter in *The First Berserker: Khazan*, and it's no walk in the park. To emerge victorious, you'll need to master the game's combat mechanics, focusing on dodges and parries to mitigate damage. Yetuga is known for its aggressive nature, launching a variety of attacks including:

  • A two-hit combo starting with a left-handed smash downward followed by a right-handed uppercut.
  • A four-hit combo with horizontal swipes using either its left or right arm.
  • A downward smash with both arms.
  • A leaping single-handed smash.
  • A jumping grab.
  • A charge.

Throughout the fight, you'll need to learn Yetuga's attack patterns and strike back during the brief windows between its assaults. Parrying is particularly effective against all attacks except the jumping grab, as it not only helps you avoid damage but also inflicts significant Stamina damage on the boss. Exploit Yetuga's charge by dodging it and letting the beast crash into a wall, which will leave it momentarily vulnerable. This is your chance to attack and potentially break the ice spikes on its back, weakening its offensive capabilities.

As you continue to pressure Yetuga, you'll trigger its second phase. The beast will roar and power up, signaling a shift in its attack strategy. It will now use a giant rock to smash at you, so timing your dodge or parry is crucial. Additionally, Yetuga will employ a frost breath that creates ice spikes; you can either move out of the way or parry this attack. Seize opportunities to use Potent Attacks, and when Yetuga is exhausted, unleash a Brutal Attack to deal significant damage.

Upon defeating Yetuga, you'll be rewarded with 4,800 Lacrima, along with Frozen Mountain gear items and the Necklace of Resolve, making your efforts well worth it.

That's all you need to know to successfully beat Yetuga in *The First Berserker: Khazan*. For more tips and strategies, be sure to check out The Escapist. *The First Berserker: Khazan is currently available in Early Access.*
