DC's All-Star Superman Now an Audiobook with Full Cast

All-Star Superman consistently ranks as one of the greatest Superman comics ever, appearing on numerous top lists, including IGN's Top 25. Now, fans have the opportunity to immerse themselves in this iconic story through a new medium: a full-cast audiobook. DC and Penguin Random House are collaborating to bring Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's masterpiece to life in audio form. The adaptation is penned by Meghan Fitzmartin, with Quitely contributing a fresh cover illustration, which you can view below:

Set in a standalone universe, All-Star Superman follows the Man of Steel as he confronts his mortality after a dangerous encounter with the sun. The narrative unfolds with Superman, also known as Kal-El, sharing his secret identity with Lois Lane and embarking on a series of heroic challenges reminiscent of the 12 Labors of Hercules. The story culminates in a final confrontation with his nemesis, Lex Luthor.

The All-Star Superman audiobook is set to release on June 24, 2025, strategically timed a month before the theatrical release of James Gunn's Superman film. This story was previously adapted into an animated movie in 2011, further showcasing its enduring appeal.
