In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, the serene wilderness can turn perilous when monsters like the Alpha Doshaguma decide to rampage through villages. As a seasoned hunter, you'll need to be prepared to tackle this formidable beast. Here's a comprehensive guide to help you conquer the Alpha Doshaguma and ensure your village's safety.
Despite its massive size, the Doshaguma is surprisingly agile, capable of jumping and dashing around the arena. This can make it challenging to land hits, especially for melee weapon users. A strategic approach is to use a Flash Pod, which will temporarily blind the monster, giving you a window to attack or even mount its back for a more advantageous position.
Targeting Doshaguma's legs is highly effective, with the forelegs being particularly vulnerable, boasting a 3-star weakness. While the back legs are less susceptible with a 2-star weakness, they're still viable targets. The head is another prime spot with a 3-star weakness, ideal for dealing significant damage. If you're looking to harvest additional parts, consider attacking the tail, which can be broken.
In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, fire and lightning are your best allies against Doshaguma. Bowgun users should equip Flaming and Thunder ammo, while melee users can enhance their weapons with fire skill decorations. Aim for the head and torso when using fire, and focus solely on the head for lightning attacks to maximize your elemental damage.
Doshaguma can inflict Blastblight, a dangerous status ailment that can lead to an explosion if not addressed. To counteract this, use a Nulberry or Deodorant, or dodge-roll up to three times to remove the effect before it becomes critical.
While direct combat is thrilling, don't overlook the environment. Doshaguma's territory often features natural traps that can be used to your advantage. Remember to sheath your weapon before deploying your slinger, and ensure the monster is positioned directly under the trap before activating it.

Capturing Doshaguma alive is another rewarding challenge in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. To do this, you must first weaken the monster, reducing its HP to 20% or less. Once it's on the brink, set up a Shock or Pitfall Trap. Lure the monster into the trap using Luring Ammo or meat as bait if necessary. Once trapped, quickly administer tranquilizers, possibly multiple shots, to ensure the beast falls asleep and can be captured.
Armed with this knowledge, you're now ready to face the Alpha Doshaguma in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. Don't forget to enjoy a hearty meal before the hunt to benefit from food buffs, enhancing your chances of success.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
