Civilization VII isn't even fully released, and Firaxis is already expanding the game with the "Crossroads of the World" DLC! This pack introduces two new leaders, four new civilizations, and four new natural wonders, arriving in two installments in March 2025. Let's delve into what we know and speculate on what's to come.

Hot on the heels of the Deluxe Edition launch, Firaxis unveiled their 2025 post-launch roadmap: the Crossroads of the World DLC. Included with the Deluxe and Founders’ Editions, this DLC features two new leaders, four new civilizations, and four new natural wonders, spread across two releases in early and late March 2025.
Ada Lovelace and Great Britain, along with Carthage and four new natural wonders, debut in early March. Simón Bolívar, Nepal, and Bulgaria join the fray later that month.
While Firaxis remains tight-lipped on specifics, let's indulge in some educated guesses. Remember, these are predictions, so take them with a grain of salt! All predictions are based on historical accounts and factual information, with no intention to offend any culture or people.
Ada Lovelace, the pioneering computer programmer, will likely be a science-focused leader. Given her aristocratic background, her bonuses might center around Codex and Specialist mechanics, areas currently unexplored by existing leaders. Combined with predicted Great Britain bonuses, she seems geared towards a science victory.
Simón Bolívar, "The Liberator," a veteran of the Civilization series, will probably embody a Militarist/Expansionist playstyle. His abilities will likely leverage Civ 7's new Commanders mechanic, potentially focusing on logistical prowess to maintain a constantly advancing army, unlike Trung Trac's approach.
Carthage, a historical trading powerhouse, might specialize in Trade Route capacity and Culture bonuses from international trade, rather than simply range and resources (a niche already filled by Aksum). A Colossus wonder bonus would further enhance this trading focus.
A Civilization staple, Great Britain will likely reflect its Industrial Era dominance. Expect bonuses tied to naval production and trade, potentially boosted by Oxford University, emphasizing science and industry.
Nepal's unique geography and history suggest a Modern Age civilization specializing in military and cultural advantages, possibly with units benefiting from mountainous terrain. The synergistic wonder remains to be seen.
Bulgaria, making its Civilization debut, will likely emphasize military and economic strengths, potentially focusing on Cavalry and benefiting from Traditions and Social Policies. Confirmed as an Exploration Age civilization, its design might highlight its post-Ottoman era.
The DLC includes four new Natural Wonders, which, as per Civ 7's design, will provide additional Tile Yields rather than unique bonuses.
