Catch Mastery Event: First Bird Pokémon Lands in Pokémon GO!

If you're a Pokémon GO player, you're in for a treat with some exciting events coming your way. The Catch Mastery event is just around the corner, and it’s packed with plenty of surprises. This event falls under the broader Might and Mastery event and focuses on Archen, the First Bird Pokémon.

Catch Mastery Unleashes the Power of Archen!

The Catch Mastery event kicks off on March 16th and runs until 8:00 p.m. local time. During this event, players will encounter wild spawns featuring Omanyte and Kabuto, with the possibility of finding their Shiny variants.

Archen will also be available as a Field Research reward, offering an enhanced chance to catch its Shiny form. Additionally, the event provides generous XP bonuses—double your XP for Nice Throws or better, and Curveball Throws.

For those eager to dive deeper, Timed Research tasks focused on capturing Rock-type Pokémon will be available. Completing up to 10 sets of these tasks grants you 40 encounters with Archen.

Mega Absol Raid Day: A Brutal Surprise!

The Mega Absol Raid Day is scheduled for March 23rd, taking place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Absol is set to receive a new Charged Attack called Brutal Swing. Starting on March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT, Absol will permanently gain access to this move, dealing 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

To amp up the excitement, the Remote Raid Pass limit will temporarily increase to 20 from March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT. Players can also earn up to five additional free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, bringing the total to six for the day.
