Capcom Warns It Will 'Take Action' Against Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Ahead of Title Update 1

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 16,2025

Tomorrow marks the release of the first Title Update for *Monster Hunter Wilds*, introducing quests that encourage competition through fast clear times. In anticipation of this, Capcom has issued a stern warning against cheating and fraudulent activities, aiming to maintain a fair and enjoyable gaming environment for all players.

Through an official post on their X/Twitter account, Capcom stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This message underscores Capcom's commitment to integrity within the game.

Moreover, Capcom warned that players participating in multiplayer hunts alongside cheaters risk having their quest completion times invalidated and their "right to rewards" revoked for the entire party. The company advised, "Please take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited activity, or those you suspect of such," and encouraged players to report any fraudulent activity they encounter during quests.

The new quests introduced in Title Update 1 will offer cosmetic pendants as rewards. Some of these will be available to all participants, while others depend on factors like Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This incentive system explains Capcom's heightened vigilance against cheating, as it directly impacts the rewards and competition integrity.

The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. Make sure to head there as soon as Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow in *Monster Hunter Wilds*.
