Camo Challenge Tracking in Black Ops 6: How It Works

Author:Kristen Update:May 06,2025

Season 2 of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* has officially launched today, bringing with it a brand new feature that simplifies the progression grind. The newly introduced Camo Challenge Tracking feature is a game-changer, and here's a comprehensive guide on how it works.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Gives Simple Access to Camo Challenge Progress

According to the patch notes for the latest update to *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*, the Camo Challenge Tracking feature is described as follows: “The Challenge Tracker makes it easy for players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges they’re actively working toward, but there’s another element of this system that we think players will find useful on the journey to Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter: Near Completion.”

With this innovative feature, players can now manually select up to 10 camos to track, providing easy access to their progress at any time during gameplay, without the need to navigate through the main menu. Additionally, the tracker sends notifications for challenges nearing completion, even if they aren't among those selected for tracking.

How To Track Camo and Calling Card Challenges in Black Ops 6

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Camo Challenge TrackingTo start tracking a challenge, navigate to the Camo or Calling Card challenge you want to monitor. Press the Y button on an Xbox controller or the Triangle button on a PlayStation controller to add the challenge to your tracker. This allows you to monitor your progress on various camos or calling cards during live matches in *Black Ops 6*, rather than waiting until after the game to see what you need to do next.

Even if you don't manually select a challenge, the game will automatically populate your tracker with the challenges you're closest to completing. These can be easily viewed if you're curious about what you're on the verge of unlocking.

In the *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* lobby, the Daily Challenge section displays the top tracked or near-complete camo and calling card challenges, providing a complete list of those nearing unlock status.

The Season 2 update also makes the journey to unlocking special camos more manageable. Previously, unlocking special camos required nine military camos, but this has now been reduced to five. However, to earn the coveted mastery camos, players must still unlock two special camos.

There has been considerable discussion about the large number of camos available for each weapon and the difficulty in tracking progress and achieving headshots and kills. It seems that Treyarch is responding to player feedback by implementing more efficient ways to earn and equip camos, enhancing the overall experience in *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*.
