Call of Duty Leak May Reveal When Verdansk Will Return to Warzone

Verdansk's Potential Return to Warzone in Season 3: A Leaked Surprise?

Recent leaks suggest the beloved Verdansk map might make a comeback to Call of Duty: Warzone in Season 3. This news has ignited excitement among fans who fondly remember the original Verdansk, a map integral to Warzone's initial success and featuring iconic locations like the City Center, Airport, Boneyard, and Suburbs. While a version, Verdansk '84, appeared previously, it differed significantly from the original.

The leak, originating from user TheGhostofHope and reported by Charlie Intel, hints at a closer resemblance to the classic Verdansk map than its '84 counterpart. The image accompanying the leak, however, leaves ambiguity regarding its source – a datamine from Season 3 files or simply a reproduction of the original.

Season 3's timing is significant. Its release will coincide with the launch of Black Ops 6, potentially drawing a larger player base to both games. This is particularly noteworthy given the recent player decline in Black Ops 6, despite Season 1's launch and the Squid Game collaboration. Assuming a similar timeframe to Season 1 (54 days), and considering Season 2's anticipated January 28th launch, a Spring release for Season 3 – and potentially Verdansk's return – is plausible, possibly around March.

It's crucial to remember that this information is based on a leak and requires confirmation from Activision or Treyarch. Regardless of Verdansk's return, both Black Ops 6 and Warzone will continue receiving updates and new content, including Ricochet anti-cheat improvements and potentially new game modes and events in Season 2. So, while the possibility of Verdansk's return is exciting, fans should temper expectations until official confirmation arrives.
