Bethesda to Announce Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 25,2025

After months of swirling rumors and tantalizing leaks, it appears Bethesda is on the cusp of officially unveiling the much-anticipated remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is slated for tomorrow at 11:00 am EST, and fans can catch the reveal live on both YouTube and Twitch.

Bethesda teased the announcement on Twitter/X with an image prominently featuring a large "IV" against a backdrop that unmistakably echoes iconic artwork from the original Oblivion. Although the post didn't explicitly mention the game, the visual cues strongly suggest that the long-awaited remaster is about to become a reality.

The buzz around an Oblivion remake has been building for years. Initial whispers turned into concrete leaks starting in 2020, when a Bethesda release schedule surfaced during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial. That document hinted at an Oblivion remaster slated for fiscal year 2022, though the timeline had passed, leaving room for doubt about the project's status. However, the speculation gained new life in January of this year when further leaks emerged, describing the project as a full-scale remake developed in collaboration with Virtuos. The excitement peaked just last week when images purportedly from Virtuos' website showcased the remake in progress, all but confirming the leaks.

Should these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is expected to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Fans can also look forward to a Deluxe Edition, which will include the infamous horse armor alongside the standard version.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what promises to be an exciting confirmation and more detailed insights into this highly anticipated remake.
