How to Bathe & Clean Yourself in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Author:Kristen Update:Feb 24,2025

Maintaining a clean appearance is crucial in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Your hygiene directly impacts NPC interactions and quest outcomes. A dirty appearance hinders persuasion and reduces your overall charisma. Here's how to stay spick and span:

Why Cleanliness Matters in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Cleanliness significantly influences how NPCs perceive you. Being dirty or poorly dressed makes it harder to engage in conversations and gather information, even with high Speech skills. Dirt and blood inflict a debuff on your Speech and charisma, making persuasion checks significantly more challenging.

How to Clean Yourself in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The game offers three primary methods for cleaning yourself: troughs, bathing spots, and bathhouses.

Troughs

Trough Cleaning

Commonly found in towns and outposts, troughs provide a basic level of cleansing. Interacting with a trough allows Henry to wash his face, removing some dirt and blood, but this method doesn't clean your clothes.

Bathing Spots

Bathing Spot

Located near larger bodies of water (rivers, ponds), bathing spots offer a more thorough clean than troughs. Entering the water partially cleans both Henry and his clothes, though not completely. An example location is west of the Nomads’ and Cumans’ Camps in the Trotsky region.

Bathhouses

For the most effective cleaning, visit a bathhouse (typically found in larger towns). While requiring a small Groschen fee, bathhouses provide the most thorough clean, removing all dirt and blood from Henry and his clothes. Regular visits to a bathhouse are recommended for optimal cleanliness.
