Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Larian Wants Your Help Testing Patch 8

Larian Studios announced on Steam that a stress test for Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 will begin in January. This test will be available on PC via Steam, and on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Mac and GOG users will not have access to this test build. Registration for the stress test is currently open.

Larian plans to thoroughly test Patch 8 for bugs and gameplay issues before its official release. They're particularly interested in player feedback on the new cross-play functionality. Implementing cross-play in a game as large as Baldur's Gate 3 presented significant challenges, and Larian is seeking player assistance in testing this feature. Players are encouraged to register and invite friends, or join groups through the Larian Studios Discord server.

While Patch 8 marks the final major update for Baldur's Gate 3, Larian committed to continued support for modders, with substantial future updates planned to enhance modding capabilities and allow players to create their own unique narratives. Since the release of official modding tools in September, players have downloaded over 70 million modules and uploaded over 3,000 mods.
